Neighbor's Corner - where we help each other!
Did you know that a home security inspection is a free service offered by the Bexar County Sheriff's Department through the Texas Department of Insurance?  Inspections are conducted by Sheriff's Deputies who are State Certificifed Crime Prevention Specialists.  Did you know that upon completion homeowners may qualify for an insurance premium reduction?   If you are interested in a possible reduction to your homeowners insurance and more importantly seek  knowledge about any vulnerablities of  the security of your home, call or email the Bexar County Sheriff's Office Crime Awareness and Prevention Program Office to set-up an appointment - (210) 266-0303 ext. 220/239 or prevention@bexar.org. Adopt-a-Street is a simple way to enhance quality of life in Timberwood Park with community pride in a cleaner neighborhood.  Go for a walk, take a trash bag, pick up trash along your way, and bring it home to dispose of properly – simple!  If done daily or every other day there will be less trash to collect, and if enough neighbors work together there will be even less!

When a community pulls together to keep roadways litter-free creating an attractive well-kept area, passer-bys will be more likely to think twice before littering ---  less likely to throw out that piece of trash.  In addition, clean-ups show that people who use an area care more about its appearance.  Crime is less likely to occur when a neighborhood is well-kept and neighbors are visible outside cleaning, caring and being active!  Help us Keep Timberwood Park Beautiful by adopting the street you live on, walk or travel.  Together we can stomp out litter – one-step at a time!

Due to a generous benefactor,  the Park in Timberwood has acquired a new bridge!   The bridge was dedicated in the memory of "Grandpa Bill" in August.   "Grandpa Bill" loved kids and he loved the Park.  His family graciously donated the funding to build a connecting bridge for residents and specifically for kids to cross safely from one-side of the Park to the other without traversing the parking lot!   A small dedication ceremony was held with a ribbon cutting, kids blowing bubbles and running across the bridge.   Next time you use the bridge, look for the stone and plaque on the pavilion side of the Park honoring "Grandpa Bill".   Thank you "Grandpa Bill's" family --- Thank you on behalf of the many property owners in Timberwood Park...truly something we can all enjoy for years to come!
